Intranasal Ketamine (Esketamine, Spravato)

Esketamine is a more potent version of the anesthetic ketamine. It's an NMDA receptor antagonist that binds more tightly to glutamate receptors in the brain, which increases glutamate levels and impacts more brain cells at once. This can relieve depressive symptoms within hours and can have lasting effects for weeks.
