The Story
With over 21 years of dedicated service in the Canadian Forces, I have proudly served my country through various deployments, including missions in Bosnia, Haiti, and Afghanistan and domestic operations following natural disasters.
My commitment to public service extends beyond the military, as I also spent 7 years as a volunteer firefighter, embodying the spirit of community and resilience. Following a career-ending training accident, I became a TBI survivor and advocate, navigating the complexities of recovery and healing.
Now, as a psychology major at Acadia University, I am passionate about mental health awareness and the importance of support systems. My journey has been profoundly influenced by the use of ketamine, which emerged as a catalyst for my healing when traditional and non-traditional treatments, including cannabis, fell short. I strive to share my experiences to inspire others facing similar challenges.
