In addition to other advanced nursing degrees and specialty certifications, she completed a Graduate Certificate in Chronic Pain Management from the University of Alberta in 2021.
She has demonstrated a commitment to her local community by advocating for all levels of government, CAF leadership, and the Regional Health Authority for primary healthcare resources for six years, culminating in the creation of the Oromocto Community Health Centre in 2016. She continued participating in the Oromocto Needs Assessments and was asked by the Nurse Practitioners of New Brunswick to assume the role of President-Elect and President from 2012-2016. There, she helped establish the organizational mandate to seek greater access to primary health care for all New Brunswickers through team-based, community practices.
