Jamie Sweetland

Lead Nurse Practitioner for Nova Scotia

You’ve fought enough battles. This, and healthcare in general, shouldn’t be one of them.

I want you to know someone is on your side. Fighting for you. Advocating for you. Start to finish.

The Story

Jamie Sweetland, Nurse Practitioner, brings her experience in Medical, Surgical, Emergency, Community Health Nursing, and Primary Care to NuVista Mental Health and Psychedelic Assisted Therapy.

A graduate of Memorial University of Newfoundland (Bachelors of Nursing, 2016) and Athabasca University (Masters of Nursing - Nurse Practitioner, 2022), she believes seeking health care should not be so difficult for people.

She is a mother, and the wife of a CAF Veteran who has been through the Medical Release/VAC process. She has seen firsthand how frustrating it is, and how it needs to be improved.

Now, as the Lead Nurse Practitioner for NuVista in Nova Scotia, she is leading change for Veterans.

Her goal is Complete Veteran Care, from moment of release until you have everything you need. A home base that is approachable, where you can get questions answered, get the assistance you need, and know that someone is following through on the promises made to you.
